The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Hawthorn to Hamilton – Britain’s Love Affair with World Motor Sport’. Cue a smattering of iconic names from British motorsport, including Mike Hawthorn who became Britain’s first F1 world champion in a Ferrari 50 years ago and Lewis Hamilton, who is well placed to become his successor. Peugeot has a very busy stand at Paris this year. As well as a million look-alike hatches of various sizes, it also showcased its new 'Hy' hybrid technology in a big way - with not one but four new concepts. Taking centre stage is definitely the Peugeot RC Hy Motion4 concept, an amazingly sleek four-wheel drive, four seater, four-door saloon.
Former Volvo Cars design chief Steve Mattin will head design at the Russian brand Lada. Mattin will start at the Russian automaker on Oct. 1, Lada's owner AvtoVAZ told Automotive News Europe in an email.
